In many ways that statement may be true. However, when it comes to the way we do business, that couldn't be farther from the truth. There is not one successful Enterprise that I can think of that did not innovate or revolutionize the way they do business; whether it be with a new product or service.

There was a time when retailers did not have to do much for marketing, if any at all. In the same aspect, there WERE many business that did not have the internet. That is fine, but not anymore. Internet is such a crucial part of everyday business, that most business would stop if the internet stopped. In the same way, marketing and customer outreach methods of the past may have been fruitful, but how fruitful can they be now?

What if enterprises stopped innovating? What if companies decided to do the same thing they did 10 years ago? Unless you're Coca-Cola, it would be hard pressed to not change your formula. However, there is one thing that Coca-Cola has done to invoke change. Marketing!

The way you reach your customer and what draws them to your organizations is marketing. Should we not then innovate and partner with organizations that dominate this space? Should we not steer away from complacency?
